Rant: The Human Race

We, as humans, are a selfish and arrogant race. We pride ourselves on being "superior." However, we destroy our eachother, our homes, and our planet. We wage war on eachother, and on ourselves. Were already planning on colonizing Mars, or maybe the Moon. This is ridiculous, why spend billions of dollars trying to colonize a planet years away, when we can only spend thousands and fix the one we have? This makes me sick. Why can't we solve our problems the simple way? And what happens when we get to Mars? We land, colonize, industrialize, pollute, destroy, move on, repeat? It is a vicious cycle, and we need to end it before it ends us.
